‘IT WILL FALL ON THEIR HEADS LIKE LIGHTNING’: IRAN WARNS ISRAEL, SLAMS U.S. AT REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY

Over the weekend, Iran’s leaders used the 23rd anniversary of the death of Islamic Republic Founder Imam Khomeini to bash the “Zionist” regimes in Israel and the U.S.

Thousands gathered in Tehran to hear Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei give his keynote address, where he cautioned the two countries not to undermine the Islamic awakening spreading throughout the Middle East. He alsoissued a stern warning to Israel not to make any future “misstep,” PressTV reports.

“The (Isreali officias) know that under the current circumstances, they are more vulnerable than ever. If they make any misstep or wrong action it will fall on their heads like lightening,” he said.

'Israel’s creation worst catastrophe to hit world'

Head of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood Badie reminds followers of movement’s “sacrifices” in efforts to destroy the Jewish state.

The head of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood has called on Arab forces to confront Israel and for the international community to pressure the “Zionist government to withdraw from the land of Palestine.”

The comments by Brotherhood General Guide Mohammed Badie came in a written statement issued May 17 to commemorate Nakba Day, when Palestinians and other Arabs mourn Israel’s creation in 1948.

“On this day, like every year, the Arab and Islamic nations remember the worst catastrophe ever to befall the peoples of the world,” Badie wrote in the text, translated by The Jerusalem Post. “We demand the international community rectify the historic injustice [of 1948] and pressure the government of the Zionist entity to withdraw from the land of Palestine.”The statement – the existence of which was revealed Wednesday by the Investigative Project on Terrorism blog – reminds Brotherhood followers of the movement’s decades-long “sacrifices” in efforts to destroy the Jewish state.

The statement portrays the Arab revolts of the last 18 months as part of an inexorable process to “liberate” land now in the State of Israel.

“We have toppled the most repressive regimes with purpose and determination,” Badie wrote. “We have begun the era of liberation of all peoples, first of all the Palestinian people, [suffering from] the worst occupation known to man – the Zionist occupation.”

Uriya Shavit, a lecturer in Tel Aviv University’s Department forArabic and Islamic Studies, said those acquainted with the Brotherhood’s history will find the message unsurprising.

“The idea that the Brotherhood doesn’t recognize the legitimacy of Israel, and the call to eradicate it at some point, is something the group has never denied. It’s been in Brotherhood literature from its founding in 1928 until this very day,” Shavit said.

“What they have tried to do, not just during the Arab Spring but before, is to try to reconcile the ideology of never recognizing Israel, or the 1979 Egypt- Israel peace treaty, with the understanding that if they’re to be in power, they have to be realistic,” he added. “That’s why they offer statements like ‘We realize we will have to recognize agreements signed by previous governments,’ but then always add a ‘but.’”

The Brotherhood took half of Egypt’s parliamentary seats in elections earlier this year, with even harder-line Salafis taking another quarter. The Brothers’ presidential candidate, Mohamed Mursi, barely edged former prime minister Ahmed Shafiq in firstround elections last month, and the two hopefuls will meet in a runoff ballot June 16-17.

Asked about Egypt’s peace agreement with Israel, Mursi has variously called for its revision or for putting it to referendum. Aides to the candidate have said that if elected he would not meet with Israeli officials, though his assistants might.

Badie’s Nakba Day message repeatedly cites passages from the Koran to explain political events. The Arab revolts showed popular will can topple “corrupt regimes which knelt at the feet of the Zionists,” he wrote, adding the Koranic verse, “They are those with whom thou didst make a covenant but they break their covenant every time.”

“The idea is there is no point in signing treaties with Jews – not Israelis, by the way, but Jews – because the Koran tells you just how unreliable they are,” Shavit said. “This is rhetoric even Hamas has used less in the past year, because it’s seen in the West as plain anti-Semitism, albeit in Islamic garb.”

Dan Schueftan, director of the National Security Studies Center at the University of Haifa, said the question of Palestine has always been at the forefront of Brotherhood doctrine.

“This rhetoric has little to do with the Palestinians, and a lot to do with the fact that all this land is Muslim, and Israel is therefore inherently illegitimate,” he said. “Egypt is moving from a bad situation to a much worse one. Naturally, Israel will suffer: when Egypt can’t deal with its own problems, it will deflect them at us.”

Nonetheless, he said, Israelis should watch developments in Egypt and across the region with a measure of both caution and confidence.

"I'm pessimistic and optimistic at the same time," he said. "Pessimistic about what's happening in the Arab world, but optimistic over Israel's ability to deal with it."

Israel fitting nuclear arms on German-supplied subs: report

An Israeli navy boat escorts …

Israel is arming submarines supplied and largely financed byGermany with nuclear-tipped cruise missiles, influential German news weekly Der Spiegel reports in its issue to be published on Monday.

The magazine said in a cover story that Berlin had until now denied any knowledge that German submarines were being used as part of an Israeli atomic arsenal.

But former high-ranking officials of the German defence ministry told Der Spiegel that the government always assumed Israel was putting nuclear warheads on the Dolphin-class vessels.

The article, based on a months-long probe, cited files from the foreign ministry in Berlin indicating the West German state was aware of the practice as early as 1961.

In Israel, foreign ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said only: "I can confirm that we have German submarines. It's no secret.

"As for the rest, I am not in a position to talk about their capacity," he told AFP.

Israel is the Middle East's sole if undeclared nuclear-armed power.

Germany has already supplied Israel with three of the submarines in question, footing most of the bill, and another three are to be delivered by 2017 under a recently signed contract.

Meanwhile Israel is weighing whether to order three more, according to the report.

"The Germans can be proud to have ensured the existence of the state of Israel for several years to come," Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak was quoted by Der Spiegel as saying.

The opposition Social Democrat Party called Sunday on Chancellor Angela Merkel's government for an explanation.

"The federal government must provide information so that we know if the submarines delivered by Germany can be potentially equipped with nuclear warheads," party spokesman Rolf Muetzenich told Der Spiegel.

Merkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert said all submarines had been delivered unarmed.

"The federal government will not speculate on subsequent arming," he said.

The report said Germany hoped to see Israeli concessions on settlements on Palestinian land and approval for the completion of a sewage treatment plant in the Gaza Strip in exchange for the assistance.

Israel sees its existence under threat if its arch-foe Iran goes nuclear. Like the United States, it has refused to rule out bombing Iranian nuclear sites.

Germany, bearing the historical guilt of the Holocaust, is Israel's closest ally in Europe.

But it has sharply criticised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's pro-settlement policies in the West Bank and annexed east Jerusalem as undermining peace efforts with the Palestinians.

Tensions between Germany and Israel flared in April when Nobel prize-winning German author Gunter Grass published an inflammatory poem warning that a nuclear-armed Israel "could wipe out the Iranian people (with a) first strike."

Prophecy unfolding before our eyes!

Putin to meet Iran's Ahmadinejad in China: Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the sidelines of a summit in Beijing next week as tensions rise over Tehran's nuclear drive, a Kremlin official said.

"Meeting Ahmadinejad will let Putin personally feel the tension around the Iranian issue and how it is perceived in Tehran," Kremlin foreign policy aide Yury Ushakov told reporters last week in comments that were embargoed for release until Sunday.

Putin and Ahmadinejad agreed to meet over the phone and the initiative came "from both sides," Ushakov said.

The meeting will come as Russia prepares to host the latest round of talks on June 18 and 19 between world powers and Iranian negotiators in a bid to find a diplomatic solution to the standoff over Iran's nuclear programme.

The Moscow talks will follow a meeting last month in Baghdad where the six world powers -- the United States, Britain, France, China, Russia and Germany -- confronted Tehran over its intention to enrich uranium despite fears it was building a nuclear bomb.

The talks achieved little in two days of intense discussions besides setting up the next meeting in Moscow.

Like Western capitals, Russia "was not too happy" with the outcome of the Baghdad talks, but "understood the main thing, which is readiness of both sides to continue talks," Ushakov said.

"Only in dialogue is it possible to get a sense of any sort of compromise, which is crucial to unblock this situation... and leave out the most scary scenarios."

Russia has repeatedly warned against using military action against Iran -- an option never ruled out by Israel or the United States -- and said that this could cause a catastrophe in the Middle East.

Putin will meet Ahmadinejad on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit. He is also scheduled to speak with Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai in a bilateral meeting.

The meeting with Ahmadinejad will be Putin's first since his return to the Kremlin for a third term after a four-year stint as prime minister.

During his second term as president, Putin met Ahmadinejad in Tehran in 2007 in a rare visit to the country by the Kremlin chief.

The Russian delegation to the China summit is a show of force with "all the major names of Russian business in attendance," said Ushakov.

Putin is also due to meet China's President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao.

With China preparing for a stage-managed leadership change, Putin will also meet Vice Premier Li Kequiang, who is set to be the next premier, and Xi Jinping, who is tipped as the next president.

OBAMA CAMPAIGN HOLDS 'KAPO SHABBAT' ACROSS WASHINGTON, D.C.

Atlas Shrugs ~ Pamela Geller
Saturday, June 02, 2012

"....Hamas officials say Obama is different from all his predecessors. As its deputy "foreign minister," Ahmed Yussuf, told the Journal, "We believe Hamas' message is reaching its destination" -- the White House." (source:NY Post)

Any Jew who organizes for Obama is digging his own grave and that of the people of Israel. This mirrors Nazi Party Representatives attending a 1933 Berlin Jewish Community charity drive gathering -- back in December 20, 1933, three thousand Jews attended the first official Jewish gathering in which uniformed Nazis participated. The mass meeting was arranged by the Berlin Jewish community to open the special campaign for winter relief. And we know how that worked out.

Same thing. Obama has long sought out "well-respected" traitors and patsies in the Jewish Community. He knows we are overrun with them. There is no administration in American history that has been as hostile towards our closest ally in the Middle East. Auschwitz borders, a judenrein Jerusalem, and so much more:

Now the Democrats, with brazen dishonesty, are telling Jews to vote for Obama again, claiming that he is pro-Israel. They point out that Obama has said pro-Israel things -- but in reality his words mean nothing when he has also called upon Israel to accept a Palestinian state with contiguous borders, which would mean a truncated and bisected Israel disastrously vulnerable to jihad attacks, insulted Netanyahu repeatedly, and so much more. Obama wanted to go even farther to stab Israel in the back, but the "Palestinians" and Muslim states wouldn't cooperate by even giving the appearance of accepting Israel's existence and wanting to establish a lasting peace.

Meanwhile, Obama has done everything he could to usher in Islamic states surrounding Israel, including a Muslim Brotherhood-led Egypt that wants to destroy the Camp David Accords and go to war with Israel. He has said nothing about the Egyptian Parliament's designation of Israel as its number one enemy, or the rise in anti-Israel sentiment in all the "Arab Spring" countries. He has also cozied up to Erdogan in Turkey, an avowed Islamic supremacist who is working quickly to destroy Kemalist secularism and establish an Islamic state in Turkey. He refused to back real pro-freedom demonstrators in Iran, and has done nothing effective to block the mullahs' mad race to get nuclear weapons.
Campaign Holds 'Obama Shabbat' Across Washington, D.C. Weekly Standard

The president is out of town tonight, spending the night alone at his home in Chicago after a day filled with six fundraisers. But his campaign in Washington, D.C. continues.

An events list found at BarackObama.com reveals that eight "Obama Shabbat" dinners will be held this evening, here in Washington, to observe the Jewish sabbath and to "organize our community to help reelect President Barack Obama." The Jewish sabbath is observed from sundown Friday evening to sundown Saturday night.

The descriptions for the dinners are formulaic, sounding mostly the same. "On Friday, June 1st Jewish Americans across the District of Columbia will gather in their homes to celebrate Shabbat and organize our community to help reelect President Barack Obama," one reads. "Please join us at the home of Hannah Malvin to learn more about how you can help reelect President Obama."

Another event notice states, "On Friday, June 1st Jewish Americans across the District of Columbia will gather in their homes to celebrate Shabbat and organize our community to help reelect President Barack Obama. Please join us at the Home of Veronica Weiss to learn more about how you can help reelect President Obama. This home is not Kosher, but if you are looking for a Kosher Obama Shabbat please let us know and we will help you find one."
